In addition to my work with ketamine-assisted therapy, I see a mix of individuals for both shortterm and longterm care. I have experience working with mood disorders (bipolar i, ii, and major depression), post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, specific phobia, anxiety-related disorders, and more. I have training and experience utilizing acceptance commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and exposure response prevention therapies with an array of clients.
I am also passionate to help my clients live lives that are in greater alignment with their values and have a particular spot in my heart for those pondering the existential realities of our lives. I firmly believe in a hollistic approach to mental health care, incorporating behavioral strategies, depth exploration, self care techniques, and social and spiritual connection to help my longer term clients gain more understanding of themselves and the world in which they live.
I am currently offering both remote telehealth sessions Tuesday through Thursday and in person sessions on Monday (12pm to 8pm) and Thursday evenings (4pm to 8pm). In person availability may be limited and require further coordination.
The office is located at 185 Devonshire St., Suite 902, Boston, MA, 02110. Below are some approximate walk times from various public transit stops in the area:
State Street (Orange/Blue lines): 2 minutes
Downtown Crossing (Orange/Red lines): 6 minutes

South Station (Red/Silver lines, Commuter Rail, Amtrak): 7 minutes
Yes. At this time, I am only licensed to provide psychotherapy services in the state of Massachusetts. As such, law requires that myself and my client are both present within the borders of Massachusetts at the time of service, even if we are meeting virtually.
Please take a look at the Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy page for more information, including what ketamine is, treatment protocol, and cost/fees.
Currently, ketamine is the only legally available (Schedule III) psychedelic substance in the United States for mental health treatment. Substances like psilocybin mushrooms, MDMA, and Iboga are currently listed as Schedule I drugs. As such, I do not offer dosing sessions for any substances outside of ketamine at this time.
Much work is being done to reschedule other psychedelics at the state and federal level. I have received training in the therapeutic use of psilocybin and MDMA, as well as my ketamine training. As soon as it is legally permissible, I will be able to provide these services as well. Stay tuned!
Despite not being able to offer support for dosing sessions for these substances, I am available for helping with preparation and integration sessions.
I do not bill insurance companies directly and I am not part of any networks. Some insurance companies (i.e., PPO plans) provide partial reimbursement for services rendered by out-of-network providers. Please check with your insurance provider to determine whether you have any out-of-network coverage for behavioral health and to request more specific information about your plan's reimbursement rate, deductible, and mental health coverage. I can provide you with documentation that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage. Please note that I can not guarantee you will receive any reimbursement.
Some questions you could ask your insurance company:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health coverage?
If so, what percentage is covered?
Is teletherapy covered by my plan?
Do I have a deductible? What is it and how much of it have I met?
What is the co-pay for a session if I see an out-of-network provider?
How do I submit a request for reimbursement?
What is the reimbursement for CPT codes 90834 and 90791?
An initial 60-minute intake assessment session is $275 and a standard 50-minute therapy session is $250. Sessions are typically weekly for 50 minutes. Longer or shorter sessions will be prorated. While sessions are typically weekly, they can be scheduled on a more or less frequent basis (e.g., twice a week, every other week) when deemed clinically appropriate. You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. You also have rights and protections against Surprise Medical Bills.

On January 1, 2021, Governor Baker signed An Act Promoting a Resilient Health Care System that Puts Patients First (“Patients First”) into law which makes significant changes to the state’s healthcare laws. The law requires health care providers to tell patients how much patients will pay for planned hospital stays, medical procedures, health care services, and referrals – based on the patient’s specific health insurance plan. Please note that I do not bill insurance companies directly and I am not part of any networks. You can review the notice of rights available to you as a patient along with more detailed information on the Mass.gov website.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me by email at chris@christopherluongozinklmhc.com or by going to my contact page. I will first establish a time for us to have a free 15 minute consultation to establish goodness of fit. If we both feel that we are a good match, I will then schedule a 60-minute intake session with you. If for whatever reason, I determine that we may not be a good fit, I will provide you with a list of referrals for other providers that may be a better match.
